What are Solar Nails

If artificial nails look good on you, you have to know about solar nails, which are growing in popularity. This article will give you some important information on them and reasons why they are better than other types of artificial nails.

Having beautiful, well maintained nails is considered to be an asset by many women. Apart from regular filing and cleaning, there are many women who love to experiment with artificial nails. Artificial nails, with different shapes, colors, and designs, help in giving nails an elegant look. Very commonly used materials to make artificial nails include acrylic and gel. Apart from the fact that their application gives the nail a French manicure look, experts say that there are many other advantages of using it as compared to the other types of artificial nails.

Information

Solar nails are a type of acrylic nails and in fact, it is a brand name of acrylic nails which are manufactured by Creative Nail Design. The only difference here is that these nails are pink and white in color which looks similar to French manicured nails. However, though they are acrylic, they are more superior than the regular acrylic, and hence have certain additional benefits as mentioned below.

Not Extensions

Let's Work Together!

The first advantage is that these nails are not an extension like the regular acrylic nails. In other words, acrylic nails are called extensions. With these types of extensions, damage can be caused to the natural nails, if used for a long time. On the other hand, these nails are actually embedded into the natural nails, thus maintaining their luster. The process of applying them on the natural nails is done in two steps. First the natural nails are cleaned and then, the white nail is placed on the entire nail. After this, the pink nail is placed on the white, but just on the nail bed.

Refilling

Women who use acrylic or gel nails have to go to the salon after every 2 weeks to get their artificial nails replaced. If you are using solar nails, this can be avoided. With these nails, you need not replace the entire nail. Rather, you just have to refill it, after every 3 weeks. Hence, though the cost of solar nails is higher than the other types of artificial nails, the former is said to be affordable because the cost of maintaining them is much lesser than the latter.

Tanning

People who have acrylic or gel nails, avoid taking a sunbath or visiting a tanning center because the UV rays tend to cause damage to the artificial nails. It has been observed that these artificial nails lose their luster and become yellow when exposed to UV rays for a long time. However, you do not have to think about this while using solar nails. This is because they do not have the tendency of turning yellow.

Strength

Most of the artificial nails are not very strong and any light pressure can cause them to break. However, you do not have to worry about this while using these nails. This is because with the use of solar nails, your natural nails become stronger as well as tougher. One of the reasons for this is that the nails are made with high quality materials that last for a long time. Even though the process of their application takes a lot of time, you do not have to worry about nail breakage while using them.

Removal Process

The best way to remove these nails is by getting it done by a professional at a nail salon. However, if you do not have the time to visit a nail salon, it is possible to remove them at home too. Nevertheless, nail removal should be done with lot of patience. Firstly, you have to soak the nails in pure acetone for 25-30 minutes. After this, scrape from the sides gently to remove the nails. However, you should not apply force while doing this as this can cause damage to your natural nails.

Apart from the ones listed above, another benefit of solar nails is that you do not necessarily use nail polish on these nails like you have to with the other forms of artificial nails. Also, these nails do not lose their luster or shine after continuous use. So, if you find these nails interesting, try them out to get gorgeous nails.
